On Midway Atoll, a remote cluster of islands more than 2000 miles from the nearest continent, the results of our mass consumption surfaces in an astonishing place: inside the stomachs of thousands of dead baby albatrosses, marine birds, and animals including sea turtles.
Of the 1.5 million Laysan Albatrosses approximately one-third of their chicks die where many of those deaths are due to being fed plastic from their parents; who mistake the floating trash for food as they search over the vastly polluted Pacific Ocean.
