As the cold weather nears, this is a perfect way to harvest firewood. Well almost.
Citizens from Rybinsk, Russia, consisting of volunteers, students, and even designers of aircraft engines set out to create this 800 cubic meter, roughly 2625 ft, wood structure. The method involved utilizing special hydraulic cleavers and filling the center of the structure with several rows of wood. The result: this firewood collection stands at 22 meters (aprox. 72ft) in height, which is two meters taller than the previous record held in Norway and took 3 months to complete.
