Behold! An old technique brought back to the modern world.

The world's largest spider silk garment. A technique using spiders to make silk thread can be traced back for centuries. The process of this particular garment took over four years to make involving 80 people going out every morning to collect spiders and places these critters in a contraption to extract the silk. Only females can produce the silk need, where it takes roughly 23,000 to produce 1 ounce of silk.

The robe is on display at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
