The winners of the 2013 National Geographic contest: 7,000 entries from over 150 countries submitted by amateur and professional photographers across the globe.
During the month of November, National Geographic invited photographers from around the world to submit photos in three categories: People, Places and Nature. The grand prize was award to Paul Souders. with his picture of a polar bear in the frigid Arctic waters.
