Easily Digestible by Lisa Alonzo, an artist from Northern California, is a series of stunning paintings.
Each artwork is created using an acrylic gel that has been squeezed from a pastry tip normally reserved for decorating cakes. By doing so, the series comments on the relationship between reality and the present day consumption culture.
Currently on display at Claire Oliver until the end of April, Easily Digestible by Lisa Alonzo focuses on both violent and mundane objects, all of which originated from stock photos. Alonzo writes, "The use of stock imagery is important as I want to present the object or idea in its most universal symbolic form."
